HOLIDAYS
We believe breaks away from work are good for your wellbeing and general happiness so we ask you to please book regular holidays.
The holiday year runs from 1st April to 31st March. Holiday will be paid pro-rata for those leaving and joining during a holiday year and for Tracklementeers who work part-time.
You will accrue annual holidays based on 1/52nd of the annual entitlement for each week of service in the holiday year. Employees will continue to accrue holiday entitlement during Maternity/Adoption/Paternity/Shared Parental/Parental Leave periods.
Holidays must be agreed with your manager. Please give your manager 4 weeks’ notice of your holiday in order that they can arrange cover for your absence. Holiday requests are granted at the absolute discretion of the manager and are subject to business operational needs. For scheduling reasons, we ask that any holidays over 2 weeks get express permission from your manager.
All Tracklementeers are required to take 4 or 5 days of your holiday between Christmas and New Year when Tracklements closes. You will be advised by the end of January whether the requirement will be 4 or 5 days. Please ensure you retain enough days from your annual entitlement to cover this period.
We encourage you to use up all your holiday allocation, however, if you are unable to do so, you can sell back a maximum of 3 days, which will be paid at your usual rate. You can also ask your manager to take 3 additional, unpaid days leave per holiday year.
When you leave Tracklements you will be paid for any unused holiday. If you have taken more holiday than you have accrued the balance will be deducted from any outstanding pay. Payment for holidays in these circumstances will be made on a pro-rata basis to your normal working days and your service in the current holiday year.
If you have been dismissed due to gross misconduct or if you don’t work your full contractual notice period, unused holiday pay will not be paid apart from any payment required to meet the statutory minimum holiday obligations.
In order to support the rest of the team, during your notice period, Tracklements reserve the right to decide on the dates on which some, or all, of your outstanding holiday entitlement may be taken.
