SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

Tracklements recognises that social media and the internet provide unique opportunities to participate in topics and share information. However inappropriate use of social media can pose a threat to Tracklements propriety information and damage our brand and business. Please remember our ethos to behave as a good citizen at all times.

Please remember our ethos to behave as a good citizen at all times.

You must not contribute to online blogs during working hours, or using a computer belonging to the Company.

You must not contribute to any blog which criticises the Company, is derogatory about a colleague, or otherwise brings the Company into disrepute, at any time (this includes during personal time). If you are dissatisfied with some aspect of your employment this should be addressed using the Company’s grievance procedure.

You should not post any pictures or images of colleagues or Company activities without permission of those involved.

Examples of bringing the Company into disrepute include, but are not limited to, criticising products or services, posting anything derogatory about customers, clients, Managers or other employees, or making any comments that might dissuade the public from dealing with the Company.

You are reminded that regardless of the social network used, or privacy settings activated, everything posted on the internet has the potential to become public and widespread. All social media posts should therefore be carefully considered to ensure they fit with the image you and Tracklements want to share online.

Any use of social media which breaches this policy, or which uses social media to criticise or damage the reputation of the Company may result in disciplinary action and dismissal. This includes posts on a personal account with inappropriate privacy settings, posts made outside of working hours, and those posts made not using our computers or equipment.  You may also be required to remove content created or shared by you if Tracklements consider such posts to be a breach of this policy.

All Tracklements rules and policies apply in respect of social media posts. This policy therefore should be read in conjunction with all other policies, in particular your attention is drawn to the Equal Opportunities and Positive Work Environment policies.
